General trends after gate

1. Above 99 percentile: They can apply for all IIT’s and IISc with their interested specializations. They also can apply for NITIE. If they are between 99 and 99.5 and require design or manufacturing specialization, they can apply PSG, NIT’s or apply non stipend (self financing) in IIT’s. etc. manufacturing, design ( if they allow you) industrial engg, thermal engg.
2. Above 98 percentile: They can apply for all IIT’s and IISc, They are sure to get seat in IIT’s but not sure for design or manufacturing. They also can apply for NITIE thermal, Aerospace, energy systems, composites, corrosion engg.
3. Above 97 percentile: They can apply for all IIT’s and IISc, PSG coimbuttor, NITIE, NIFFT, for M.Tech, all IIT’s for M.S Programme. They also have chances to get M.S Programme in IIT’ with stipend.
4. Above 95 percentile: They can apply for all IIT’s for M.Tech with specializations of least preferred ones with stipend and non stipend. You also can apply IIT’s for M.S Program.
5. Above 90 percentile: They can apply for M.S Programme in IIT’s .
6. Below 90 percentile: You have chances to get seat in NIT’s and other colleges.
